The mission of Keiki Enterprise is to provide resources and services that will help children grow up to be financially responsible, accountable and self-reliant.
GOALS
Keiki Enterprise was founded in 2009 to teach financial literacy and responsibility to children so that they can start developing good habits at an early age. Its goals are to:
- educate children about money management,
- encourage good savings and spending habits,
- promote self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship,
- provide a fun learning environment, and
- collaborate with parents, schools, businesses, government and other community members who are interested in the development of children.
PROGRAMS
- simulated bank where children can set up their own savings/checking accounts
- simulated store that sells general merchandise (food, household items, clothes, books, toys, etc.)
- parent-children financial education workshops
